Baked Biscuits

## Baked biscuits, five steps

Same idea, different texture. The Baked Biscuit Mix goes in the oven instead of the freezer and comes out crunchy.

1. ### Heat the oven to 300F
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment while it heats.
2. ### Mix five to one
For every five tablespoons of mix, add one tablespoon of water. Stir until combined. The dough should look a little crumbly, not wet.
3. ### Shape the cookies
Roll the dough out and cut it with the bone cutters, or just press cookies together by hand. Aim for about a quarter inch thick. If the dough sticks, dust it with a little flour.
4. ### Bake 45 minutes
They should be crunchy coming out of the oven. If they're still soft, give them longer. Cool them on the sheet.
5. ### Give to a very good dog
A quarter-sized biscuit is about 15 calories. Store the rest in a sealed jar.

Baked Biscuits

Out of the oven, into a very good dog.

This turned out to be perfect - it's easy and quick, and it doesn't involved a lot of ingredients, plus they love our dogs so they were really excited to make something for them. It only took about 10 minutes from opening the jar to getting these in the oven.

- Great value > I used my own small cookie cutters and one jar made several dozen treats. They're much smaller than the ones in the picture but I prefer that so I can give them to my dog more frequently.

- Easy even if you don't know how to bake! > I bought this for my sister who asked me to leave this review: "I'm a terrible cook, so I was afraid I'd screw these up, but they turned out okay even though I left them in the oven 10 minutes longer than I was supposed to. My dog Angel loves them!"
 Keena P.

- Quick and fun baking > I love to bake and I love my dog so when I saw this I had to buy it! Super easy and you don't need anything except water (it helps to have a rolling pin if you want to cut the shapes out, but you can definitely just flatten the dough by hand or put some wax paper around a bottle and use that). My dog loves them, and it's nice to be able to bake something and not end up eating all of it myself!! :)

>
> So I'm always looking for new treats, and the fact that these have meat made me hope she'd like these. And guess what... SHE DOES!! SHE LOVES THEM!! I just subscribed to the lamb and mint ones and plan to keep some on hand at all times.

- Dogs love them but dough was a bit sticky > My dogs loved these too much... usually they never go up on the counter, but one of them (I'm not sure who... maybe it was both!) took a plastic bag with a whole batch off the counter and ate them all!
>
> The only downside was the dough was a bit sticky. Luckily I saw some other reviews here that said to put flour on it and that worked, so if you have that problem then definitely use flour. I used whole wheat flour because that's what's in the treats.

- Christmas came early! > I preordered the Baked Biscuit Kit and it showed up way earlier than expected, so I made a batch right away - my dogs LOVED them. They usually like other biscuits like milk bones, but they don't get super excited about them... I guess it must be that these have meat in them because now they beg every time I walk by the container than I keep them in, which they've never done before. I already ordered two more kits for Christmas gifts!

FAQ

## Questions people ask us

### How many treats does one jar make?

A 4.3 oz jar of Pupsicle Mix makes about 25 treats in the standard paw and bone mold. A 14 oz bag makes about 80. The Pupsicle Starter Kit has two jars and makes about 50, or about 75 in the Grain Free version because the grain free mix goes further.

### How many calories is one treat?

About 20 calories for a Pupsicle made in the standard mold. Add extra water to the mix and each treat comes out lower than that, because you're freezing more water into the same shape. A quarter-sized Baked Biscuit is about 15 calories.

### How long do they take to freeze?

Two hours. That's a full freeze in a normal home freezer, in a silicone mold or an ice cube tray. A lick mat takes about the same. Give them the full two hours and they pop straight out of the mold.

### Is there a grain free option?

Yes. Beef and Cheddar and Turkey and Cinnamon both come in Grain Free, which swaps the whole wheat flour for cassava, almond and coconut flours. The Pupsicle Starter Kit comes in a Grain Free version with both of those flavors. Grain free lives on the Pupsicle side of the line; the Baked Biscuit Mixes are whole wheat based.

### Do I need the mold?

No. An ice cube tray does the same job, and so does a lick mat. The mold is in the Starter Kit because it makes paw and bone shapes, which are more fun to hand over and more fun to photograph. If you already own a silicone tray, buy a jar of mix instead of a kit.

### Can I use a lick mat?

That's our favorite way to use it. Pour the mixed batter straight onto the mat, freeze it for two hours, and hand it over. Instead of one treat gone in a bite, you get about twenty minutes of a busy dog. It's the move for crate time, thunderstorms and nail trims.

### What if my dog won't eat it?

Then we refund you. Take a short video of your dog turning the treat down, email it to us at info@coopersdogtreats.com within 30 days of your purchase, and we'll refund your original payment method within a week. One item per customer, up to the price of a Starter Kit.

### How fast do orders ship?

Orders leave in 1 to 2 business days and typically arrive in 2 to 5. Shipping is free on every US order, with no minimum. We ship via USPS, UPS, FedEx or DHL depending on where you live.
