# Privacy policy

## Privacy policy

*Last updated September 10, 2026*

This policy covers coopersdogtreats.com, run by Cooper's Treats LLC. It explains what we collect when you visit or buy, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

## What we collect

**What you give us.** Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you provide one, and what you ordered. Payment card details go straight to our payment processor and we never see or store the full number. If you email or call us, we keep that conversation so we can pick up where we left off.

**What comes in automatically.** Your device and browser type, your general location based on your IP address, which pages you looked at, how you got to the site, and how you moved through it. This arrives through cookies and similar technologies.

## What we use it for

- Taking, packing and shipping your order, and handling returns and the money-back guarantee
- Answering your questions
- Sending order and shipping updates
- Sending marketing email, if you asked for it, and you can stop it at any time
- Understanding what's working on the site and making it better
- Showing our ads to people who are likely to want dog treats
- Spotting fraud and keeping the store secure
- Meeting our tax, accounting and other legal obligations

## Who we share it with

**Companies that run parts of the business for us.** Our ecommerce platform, payment processor, shipping carriers, email provider, review platform and customer support tools. They get what they need to do their job and nothing more, and they aren't allowed to use it for their own purposes.

**Advertising and analytics partners.** We work with companies that measure how the site is used and help us put our ads in front of people who are likely to be interested in them. Some information about your visit and your purchases is shared with them for that, and they may combine it with information they already hold about you. Depending on where you live, this can count as "sharing," or in some states a "sale," of personal information under privacy law, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out, and the next section says how.

**When the law requires it,** or to protect our rights, our customers or someone's safety. If the business is ever sold or merged, customer information would transfer with it.

We don't sell your information for cash, and we don't hand your email address to other companies to market their own products.

## Your choices

**Marketing email.** Every one has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Order and shipping updates aren't marketing and keep coming as long as you have an order with us.

**Opting out of targeted advertising.** Email [info@coopersdogtreats.com](mailto:info@coopersdogtreats.com) with "opt out" in the subject line and we'll take care of it. Some browsers can also send an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, and we honor it where the law requires us to.

**Cookies.** Your browser can block or delete them. Parts of the site, the cart in particular, may not behave properly if you block all of them.

**Seeing, correcting or deleting what we hold.** Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to limit how it's used. Email us and we'll do it. We may need to confirm who you are first, which usually means replying from the address on your order. Asking costs you nothing and we won't treat you differently for it. Someone else can make the request for you if you authorize them.

## Children

This store is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and if we learn we have, we delete it.

## Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect what we hold, though no website can promise perfect security. We keep order records as long as we need them to run the business and to satisfy tax and legal requirements, and we keep marketing contacts until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

## Where your information goes

We're based in the United States and your information is processed here. If you're writing to us from elsewhere, the privacy laws where we operate may differ from the ones where you live.

## Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes up on this page with a new date at the top.
