# Bino Harness for Women: Fit, Strap Range and Which Harness | Lone Trai

**Fit,** not a label

## A bino harness should fit your torso, not a generic mannequin.

The questions that matter are strap range, where the chest pack sits and whether it stays put. Here is exactly how the LT1 and LT2 adjust, and how to check the fit at home for free.

Fit by measurement

## Measure once. Know before you order.

Both harnesses use the same fully adjustable strap system. The published fit range is hunters from roughly 80 to 400 lb, over a light shirt or a heavy hunting jacket. There is one size, and it is the straps that change, not the pack.

### Where should the chest pack sit?

High on the sternum, snug enough that it does not swing when you bend over, loose enough that you can breathe. Set the shoulder straps first, then the back strap. On a shorter torso, run the pack a touch higher so the bottom MOLLE clears your pack's hipbelt.

### Do the shoulder straps dig in or sit too wide?

The straps are padded and the anchor points are close to the pack, so they ride inside the shoulders rather than out on the arm. If they feel wide, shorten the back strap before the shoulders; that pulls the whole harness inward.

### Does it work under a backpack?

Yes. Snug the harness first, then the pack over it. The pack's shoulder straps sit over the harness straps and the pouches stay reachable.

### What if it does not fit?

Try it on at home with your real layers. If it is not right, send it back within 30 days in like-new condition and we pay the return shipping.

We have not yet published the usable strap range in inches; that measurement is being taken and will be added here.

Position

## Short torso? Set it high and snug.

The chest pack is 8" wide by 8.5" tall on both harnesses. On a shorter torso the goal is the same as on a tall one: pack on the sternum, not on the stomach, straps short enough that nothing shifts when you kneel. The LT1 case is 3" deep and the LT2 is 4"; the shallower LT1 keeps less bulk forward, which some smaller-framed hunters prefer. That is a fit observation, not a rule.

LT1 Harness for short women?

I originally found this harness on amazon through the LT shop. I was looking at a couple of others but had seen it supports veterans and would rather support someone here than something from a big corporation. Being a short woman (5'2 and 150lbs) I was skeptical that it would fit comfortably with having a chest. ...

Great bino harness

Got this for Christmas for our daughter and she loves it. Heavy duty canvas with strong stitching and pouches for everything you need. It was easy to adjust the fit for her as well. Great value for the money. The fit range is huge too, this could probably accommodate anyone from 80 lbs. to 400 lbs. ...

Great Product / Very Durable

I've used this same product in the past but this one is MUCH higher quality. Also, someone mentioned a standard binocular won’t fit. That is NOT the case at all. Mine have room to spare. I look forward to using it this coming turkey season.

This harness is very comfortable and has lots of adjustment.

Shown as written; the first is from a hunter who describes herself as 5'2".
